God’s Word is Wonderful

Email this commentaryPrint this commentary

When I was growing up as a boy in the country I learned the tragic results of a bad relationship. We had a neighbor and his wife who were always arguing and fighting. Finally they divided their house by drawing a chalk line down the middle. The wife took one side and the husband … More

Application

My desire is to constantly be building my relationship with God by getting to know His Word better and in experiencing His blessing as outlined in this passage. The only way this can be accomplished is by spending time with Him.

Psalms 119:129-136 (English Standard Version)

Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them. The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commandments. Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your way with those who love your name. Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. Redeem me from man's oppression, that I may keep your precepts. Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes. My eyes shed streams of tears, because people do not keep your law.
