Tess, an eight-year-old, heard her mom and dad talking about her little brother, Andrew. He was very sick and only a very expensive surgery could save his life. Tess quickly took her piggy bank from its hiding place, and ran down to the Drug Store. The pharmacist was talking to h … More

Graciousness

This Psalm may have been written near the end of David’s reign when Israel had reached a high point  and was blessed with a period of peace and security. It brings out how God is so gracious to:

  1. Those who fall - (v. 14)
  2. Those who hunger - (v. 15)
  3. Those who pray - (vv. 18,19)
  4. Those who love Him - (v. 20)

This is a good life verse for a missionary which is, “To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom” (v. 12).

Application

It is my desire to always have a gracious attitude and spirit toward those who are in need both physically and Spiritually.

Psalms 145:10-21 (English Standard Version)

All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.] The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
