A Pastor’s Ministry Destroyed

In the early years of our life and ministry we attended a Church where the pastor was a wonderful Bible teacher. The church grew rapidly and became one of the largest Bible teaching ministries in the area. Then the pastor was accused of having an affair with one of the young ladies in the Church and instead of the leadership of the Church handling it in a Biblical way it was swept under the rug. As a result several people left the Church and over a period of time a couple of large groups left the Church and started new ministries. Because the church chose not to handle this problem according to Matthew 18 it lost its testimony in the community and its ministry was destroyed. It is clear that when a leader commits immorality we are to follow the Matthew 18 principal. (Lou Nicholes - Missionary Author).
