Romans – a Roadmap for the Christian Life
The central theme throughout the book of Romans is that salvation is a gift which cannot be earned, but can only be received by faith. Warren Wiersbe writes – “The Epistle to the Romans was not written for religious sightseers. You will have to think as you study this letter, but the rewards will be worth the efforts.” Paul clearly outlines the foundations of the Christian faith. All people are sinful; Christ died to forgive sin; we are made right with God through faith; this begins a new life with a new relationship with God. If we study Romans carefully, we will never be at a loss to know what to believe and how to behave.
The thoughts Lou shares with you in this book are things the Lord has given to him and he has written down over the forty plus years he has been having his devotional time each day. Romans is one of his favorite books. A simple outline is:
1. What to Believe (Chapters 1-11).
2. How to Behave (Chapters 12-16).
