Foolishment Should Not Take Us by Surprise

Foolishness should not take us by surprise. We can see it every day, and it is all around us. There is an old Middle East proverb which says foolishness can be known by six things:

1. Anger without cause.
2. Speech without profit.
3. Change without progress.
4. Inquiry without purpose.
5. Putting trust in strangers.
6. Mistaking foe for friend.
