The Spirit, Not The Letter – II Corinthians 3:4 – 3:11

Construction of The Great Boulder Dam

The great Boulder Dam scheme in America brought fertility to vast areas which had once been desert. In the making of it there were inevitably those who lost their lives. When the scheme was completed, a tablet was placed into the wall of the dam bearing the names of the workmen who had died, and below stands the inscription: “These died that the desert might rejoice and blossom as the rose.” (Source Unknown).
