Unrelated Sidetracking Questions

Have you ever been trying to witness to someone and all at once they asked an unrelated question like, Where did Cain get his wife? It is obvious that they are asking it simply to get you sidetracked from the issue at hand. I can remember this happening to me once when I was very intense in witnessing to someone and I knew it was the devil’s trick in trying to get me to stop giving this person God’s simple plan of salvation. The big question was, what should I do? I can remember starting to think about how I could answer this question and then I shot a quick prayer to the Lord to help me! He seemed to put the words in my mouth, “That’s a good question but let’s stick to what we are talking about right now,” and I went on witnessing. (Lou Nicholes - Missionary/Author).
