Worldwide Jubilation After The War

In 1945, after six seemingly endless years of war, the armies of the Third Reich in Germany finally surrendered. There had been rationing, blackouts, bombs and endless lists of the dead. Suddenly that all stopped and the troops came home and there was world-wide jubilation. (Source Unknown).
