Resistance

When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 General Douglas MacArthur was the commander of the American forces in the Philippines. The same day they launched an assault on the Philippine Islands and President Roosevelt ordered MacArthur to escape to Australia to organize the American war effort in the Pacific Theater. He loved the Filipino people and when he left he said, “I shall return,” which he did on October 20, 1944 and the people were set free. When Jesus died on the cross and left this earth over 2000 years ago He said He will return and we can be sure that He will, even if the timing of His return is unknown.
