The Involvement of Wisdom in Creation

A recent Gallup Poll found that the greatest number of Americans (47% of those expressing an opinion) hold to the strict creations view, that God created man pretty much in his present form within the last 10, 000 years. Most other Americans believe in some combination of evoluti … More

Creation

The Son of God declares himself to have been engaged in the creation of the world (vv. 22-30). How able, is the Son of God to be the Saviour of the world, who was the Creator of it! The Son of God was ordained, before the world, to that great work. Not a speck of matter, (v.26), not a trace of order (v. 29), come into existence but by the son of God. God was the designer. but His son was involved with him even before the earth began (v. 23).

Te Lord says He was formed before anything else was created (vv. 22-23). He was created before the oceans were made (v. 24), before the mountains were formed (v. 25), before the earth and heavens were made (vv. 26-27), before God set the clouds above and established the deep fountains below (vv. 28-29). He was the architect at the Father’s side (v. 30).

Does he delight in saying wretched sinners, and shall not we delight in his salvation? (vv. 31-36) He was very happy with all that he created, including the human family (v. 31). He said that His children who listened to Him and followed Him would be happy (vv. 32-33). Blessed, happy and thrilled with life is the man who will take time to be alone with God so he can hear His voice and wait for His direction (v. 34). The person who finds Him will find life and the person fails to find Him will find death (vv. 35-36). The person who is too busy to spend time alone with the Lord knows nothing of this promise. Many Christians are so busy with spreading or defending Christianity that they have little time for quiet meditation and communion with God. If we are not careful our minds will be a reflection of our society and not our Lord.

Application

It is so comforting for me to know that my saviour is also my creator. I never want to get so busy that I don’t have time to spend with my creator and my saviour.
